Tutoring

Becoming a tutor involves:

  • Attending a training session.

  • Volunteering once or twice a week for 1 to 2 hours to tutor an adult student, on a schedule arranged on a casual one-on-one basis between tutor and student.

    or

  • Volunteering in an adult GED or ESL classroom once or twice a week for 1 to 2 hours to assist the teacher by tutoring individual students.

Becoming a tutor does not require a long term commitment. Only one hour a week for two to three months can make a difference!

Reading tutor training is provided.

Contact us for the current training schedule.
