The Bastrop Public Library is Expanding Now!

Thanks to City of Bastrop residents,
the library will have $2,060,000 in bond money to expand the library.

However, we still need to raise additional funds to purchase new books, shelving, the remaining furniture and fixture items on our wish list as well as more public access computer equipment and expanded telephone system. As of January 2006, our community has donated over $270,000 for furniture and fixtures!

Thanks to our Sponsors and Donors!

We have almost met our goals, but we still need help to make our project a success.

Make a Memorial Donation

An easy way to help the library is to collect the spare change that accumulates in your purse or pockets over time. Donate it to the library for books, furniture and fixtures. Spare change can really add up to make big changes, so get involved!

Memorial donations are a great way to remember someone you love and to show support for the Library. Please ask for a memorial donation form at the library front desk.

Let Us Shop For You!

Donate the funds to add a new book, video or audiocassette to the library collection, and have a friend or loved one's name appear on the bookplate inside, and we'll send a card acknowledging your gift.
The minimum for this donation is $25.00. You may pick a subject, and the library staff will select a title to add to the collection. This is a great way to give a gift that keeps on giving! After your loved one reads the book, many others can enjoy it for years to come.
