John Erickson gave a very memorable performance with stories and songs from his Hank the Cowdog series. 225 people came out to greet him and get their books signed by the author. A Hank Shop was set up with the entire Hank series of books, audios, games, puppets, plush puppies and Hank T-shirts. After the event at Bastrop High, a reception was held so that our event sponsors could meet with John in person and have a relaxed meal at the Elzner House Bed and Breakfast Inn.
