Bastrop Advertiser Online

The Bastrop Advertiser has been digitally reproduced and is now available online at the Portal to Texas History website.  The 1854-1975 issues are currently available and later years are being added.  With the paper on the web, patrons can now search remotely for their information.  Searches can be done by keyword or date.  Funding for this project was provided by the Tocker Foundation

Susannah Flores-Worth, PhD has 25 years of museum experience and will talk about how to preserve family treasures, show a power point presentation, demonstrate how to care for specific items and will have a show-and-tell, as well as providing all attendees with a hand-out. The presentation will cover:
Principles of Conservation
Sources of Supplies/Equipment (often already in the home)
A list of reliable web-sites on the subject conservation
Question and Answer time
Types of materials which may concern attendees include:
